Product information "Singleturn Rotary Encoder TBSN58/S4 SIL3"

The TBSN series are our high functional safety encoders. They are certified to IEC 61508 with SIL3 classification and are ASIL-D compliant to ISO 26262. This allows them to be used in safety-critical applications such as public road transport.

The position value is recorded redundantly and processed independently by two microprocessors. Output is via the CANopen safety protocol. A positive mechanical connection between the customer shaft and the sensor shaft ensures that the magnet in the sensor shaft precisely matches the rotation of the customer shaft.

The TBSN single-turn version offers a resolution of max. 65,536 steps per revolution.
