Product information "Multiturn Kit Encoder TMN53/S4 SIL2"

Model TMN/S4 is a new generation of bearing-free rotary encoders which provides functional safety due to IEC 61508: SIL2 and ISO 13849: PLd in a cost-effective design. The flat housing with cable output offers a CANopen or CANopen Safety interface. PCB versions without housing are available on request. The TMN has an electronic multi-turn counter that can count 18 bits (262,144) revolutions.

The position magnet is mechanically connected to the application, i.e. mounting on the applications shaft or another moving part. The TMN housing is placed in front of the magnet.

The wear free device can be easily integrated into existing applications with less space for safe position and speed measurements.
