Product information "Multiturn rotary encoder TRSN50/S4 SIL3"

The TRSN series are our high functional safety encoders. They are certified to IEC 61508 with SIL3 classification and are ASIL-D compliant to ISO 26262. This allows them to be used in safety-critical applications such as public road transport.

The position value is recorded redundantly and processed independently by two microprocessors. Output is via the CANopen safety protocol. A positive mechanical connection between the customer shaft and the sensor shaft ensures that the magnet in the sensor shaft precisely matches the rotation of the customer shaft.

The TRSN multiturn version also detects 4096 revolutions.
